FROM THE START

From the moment you hire me (and usually even before that), I’m on your team! It is so truly fun for me to get to know each of my couples on a real, personal level, and it pays off in photos that really feel like you, too. I limit the number of weddings I take each year so that every single one of my clients knows they have my undivided attention, whenever and however they need me. Wedding planning can be stressful and overwhelming, but it also can be so dang fun- I’m here to help every step of the way!

ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

I’ve been called a “bonus bridesmaid”, “like family”, “a new best friend” and “a breath of fun, fresh air on an otherwise stressful day.”

Not to toot my own horn, but I’m pretty dang good at showing up for you in all the ways you’d want from your wedding photographer, and then some. Of course I’ll remind you to take the phone out of your pocket, capture all the moments that really matter (not just the planned ones), and let you know if you’ve got something in your teeth! But those are all the things you’d expect from a professional photographer, right? I pride myself in going beyond that; like scouting locations ahead of time that will make your photos shine, like making sure everyone is as comfortable as possible throughout the process to make for natural, candid images, like pulling you and your freshly minted spouse outside for a moment during cocktail hour when the sunset is absolutely breath-taking, or checking in with you when I sense you may need a break. My favorite compliment to receive from my clients is what a great impression I’ve made on their wedding parties, families, and guests, too. When it comes down to it, weddings are about you two…but they’re also about being surrounded by all of your people! It’s important to me that they have an amazing experience, too, and that they’ll all be as obsessed with your weddings photos as you will be.

The coolest thing about this job?

My couples aren’t the “Thanks for the photos, see ya never!” type. I’ve built my business on client referrals (which I lovingly call “daisy chains”), and I’m incredibly thankful that most of my current clients are family members, friends, colleagues or classmates of folks who’ve hired me in the past. Whether you met me at a wedding I was shooting, came to me because your best friend was like “OMG YOU MUST HIRE AJ”, or just befriended me on the ‘gram or Tiktok, once you hire me, you’re part of my favorite club on earth. I love to cheer on all of my couples as they accomplish their dreams, and to be a resource for you no matter where you are in your wedding planning process.

After your wedding, I’m here for anniversary sessions, pregnancy photos, and family pics too (especially if the newest members of your growing families have 4 paws). Building real relationships takes time, and we’ll be bonded for life after your wedding day.

Talking about money is the least fun part of planning your wedding, but it’s important, too, so I keep it super straight forward and easy. No two weddings are the same, so I don’t treat them like they are. Custom packages, custom pricing, every time. We’ll work together to create the perfect package for you and your wedding day.
That said, my wedding day packages start at $6k, with elopement and courthouse packages starting at $3.5k.
I can work with most budgets, so let’s chat about what you need for your day, so that I can build the perfect package for you, your boo, and your wedding day plans!
Heck yeah! For you, I’ll go anywhere. Pricing for travel depends on where we’re going, so let’s chat about it first to figure it out! I love to take gorgeous photos of my rad clients, wherever that may take you - especially if it's to the mountains, to the beach or to your favorite hidden spot in your neighborhood. Bonus points if it’s somewhere I’ve never shot a wedding, or somewhere with reallllly good food (On my bucket list right now: Maine, Southern California, Oregon). I'd love to travel with you and to document your first adventures as a married couple- even if that just means a trip to city hall! Throughout the year, I also frequent Providence, RI where my family lives, so travel costs are complimentary if we’re headed to the East Coast
Challenge accepted. I pride myself on taking apprehensive or self-proclaimed “awkward” folks and turning them into photo-session rockstars! Having your photo taken professionally is rare but that just means that I have a blank canvas to work with! I make having your photo taken so fun, easy, and relaxing that you’ll be like “wait, how did I ever think we were awkward?!” in no time.
I have a hard time waiting for my food to be delivered, so I know you’ll be eager to get your images in your inbox after your wedding! That’s why I do next-day previews and your online, password-protected gallery delivered to you within 6-8 weeks.
Um, duh! I took them for you, so I want you to have them. You’ll be swimming in awesome photos of your wedding day before you know it. The only ones I don’t deliver are the mid-blinks, the duplicates, the blurry ones, or the unflattering frames that you don’t want anyway! All of the other gorgeous memories are yours to obsess over and share on your Instagram feed for the rest of forever.

AJ led us through shoots in both the rain (our engagement shoot) and the freezing cold (our 20 degree wedding) and delivered the most beautiful photos that we can't stop going through.
