Chic Fall Wedding in Downtown Chicago

Downtown Chicago has such a wide variety of elegant and classic spaces. For their wedding weekend in Chicago, Annie & Eddie chose high-end locations with elegant and stylish vibes, treating their guests to a moody candlelit rehearsal dinner at Adalina and elegant wedding celebration at RPM Events. Annie and Eddie’s fall wedding weekend was elegant, romantic, and so sophisticated.

The REHEARSAL Dinner

Eddie and Annie chose a glamorous and spacious rental property to stay in with their closest loved ones for their wedding weekend, situated in the perfect location for walking access to their rehearsal dinner at Adalina, a refined and modern Italian restaurant with a beautiful cocktail menu and moody, cozy, speakeasy vibes. The rental was also convenient for transportation on their wedding day! The space itself had gorgeous natural light and lots of room for everyone to get ready the evening before and lots of gorgeous nooks for a few portraits before dinner. The large rooms and dramatic staircase made it the perfect space for Eddie & Annie to get ready before heading over to their intimate rehearsal dinner, a candle-lit private space for just family and their wedding party to kick off the weekend!

Rehearsal dinners and welcome parties make for a perfect time to capture some pre-wedding images. Annie & Eddie loved the casual vibe of walking through the streets of Chicago to meet up with their loved ones for dinner. It was also a great chance to show off their day-before outfits, carefully picked to match the vibes of their rehearsal dinner and to kick off a beautiful and elegant November weekend.

Intentional Details

Annie & Eddie were so intentional with the selection of the getting ready space that the room almost looked like it was designed just for Annie’s details. The chic black and white palette paired with the gorgeous white florals with pops of greenery and Annie’s crisp, white gown made for a beautiful start to this fall wedding day. Custom getting ready outfits and all the little intentional details made this day truly perfection from the start.

We selected a first look location convenient to where Eddie was getting ready, and this sweet private moment kicked us off for photos at one of Chicago’s most iconic photo locations, the Wrigley Building in downtown Chicago. It made for the perfect backdrop and the sun slipped into golden hour, and we captured so many beautiful images of their wedding party, and of Annie + Eddie before heading over to their venue.

The way the wedding party’s emerald green dresses and crisp black tuxes looked against the classic downtown backdrops really made this group a dream to photograph! The varied dress styles and classic green and white florals were so elegant against the Downtown Chicago city views, and I loved the way the pop of green added a chic twist on Eddie + Annie’s classic black and white color palette.

Annie and Eddie’s Candle lit evening wedding

Guests were welcomed into the space at RPM Events with a custom cocktail before descending into the romantic, candle-lit space dressed in moody lighting and a baby’s breath arch for Annie & Eddie’s ceremony. Their sweet, personal, and romantic vows brought guests to tears before being whisked away to cocktails as the space was flipped for the reception. RPM is right on the river, making for a dramatic and classic Chicago vibe that lines up beautifully with the venue’s moody, industrial chic flare.

The florals were a highlight of the reception space. Baby’s breath was the star of the show, flowing down the center of guest tables and highlighting centerpieces alongside white florals and crisp greenery; it was cloud-like and soft while still being so timeless and chic with the black and white decor. The reception space was breath-taking to see, and guests were treated to an elegant menu of RPM’s best fine dining for dinner.

Night time photos on the Chicago river

No wedding in Downtown Chicago is complete without a few night shots with the city lights shining behind you. Annie & Eddie ended their photography coverage with a pop of champagne on RPM’s private access overlooking the river, and it was the perfect ending to a fabulous, chic, and love-filled day.
