Spring Picnic Wedding at The Joinery

In the questionnaire I send my clients before their wedding day, there’s a section for “anything else I should know.” Rebecca and Vince simply put “we’re big nerds and we’re in love!” After we shot their engagement photos in a comic book shop, I had deduced as much, but this sentence kept ringing through my head on their wedding day. Yes, these sweet humans are “big nerds;” in fact, every speech, toast, and vow had references to their multiple nerdy passions (pretty much every superhero you can think of had their moment on this wedding day). But the way that these two kind people truly love one another was even more present than their hobbies. From sweet personal vows that had even me in tears, to just the way they looked at one another all day, it’s no surprise that even a surprise winter slush storm on an April day couldn’t keep them from smiling as they married their perfect partner.

I had so much fun shooting all the floral patterned goodness that I could dream of inside, even if outside it was freezing and snowing! Though the weather may not have cooperated, the gorgeous light at The Joinery paired with Rebecca and Vince’s spring barbecue wedding decor and vibes [yes, they served barbecue for dinner and there was pie!] were sunny as could be. I’m so happy that these two found each other, and thrilled that they chose me to capture it all. Here are some favorites to share:
